Awesome Place To Work
BMW of Honolulu is a great place to work. Great people, great job, place, and great atmosphere. A fun and friendly place to work also very close to bus lines so you can come and go with public transportation. The culture here is very good. Clients are friendly. The dealership is located next to the beach.
A great work environment with great people.
A great place to work there with many benefits and different ways to move up the company. The Honolulu BMW vibe was VERY fast-paced. There are many clients and many moving parts. In the culture, everyone is expected to be productive, but you can still have fun with your co-workers.
Working for BMW has been an experience. Management tends to be authoritarian and unprofessional. But co-workers make it nice. Some clients are impossible to please. While others are lovely to deal with. Working for BMW is a challenge. Stress would be easier to handle if most of it weren’t caused by management.
Working with clients nonstop from the moment you start until you leave. You will never be able to leave when your shift is over. If you are really looking after your clients, so you end up working really long days.

My typical day at work would be to finish my daily reports on time. Have a productive day ordering for the boutique, cleaning the boutique, and checking inventory while helping customers with any questions or payments.
Good company, bad management.
BMW of Honolulu used to be a great work environment in the right direction. I enjoyed working there because of the great team morale, proper training, appreciation for employees and management, bonus programs, team building events, experience learning new and different tasks and processes, and growth opportunities with rapid advancements from internal promotions.
Along with other businesses, the pandemic caused the site to be left without staff. We are expected to work 12 hours a day Monday through Friday, a 10 hour Saturday, and now recently a volunteer Sunday. Although the hours become exhausting due to physical labor, mandatory overtime is not the real problem.
The culture at this site has declined when there were changes in top management. Lack of accountability between supervisors and employees, favoritism, inability to adequately address employee concerns, miscommunication from management to supervisors and employees, toxic work environment.
Supervisors are not being treated the same, some are expected to do more because they are capable, while others are doing the least by choice with conscious top management. Employees were not being treated fairly due to the personal views of the management. Bad attempts to hide problems with interim fixes, trying to maintain a false image instead of coming up with a solution for a real improvement. The main reason is that a worrying number of my colleagues and supervisors, for several years, have left this site since the change of address. Pay increased as of this year, but was still unable to minimize or reduce churn due to decreased morale caused by mismanagement.
