So, Dodge Durango, as they’ve been available for a few years now. 2016 was the first year they came up with this body style. Now they’ve done some updates here and there, and they’re available with several different engine configuration engine options. This one is the 5.7 liter Hemi engine which we’re going to talk about in a little bit. They’re also available in the five-seater configuration and the six-seater configuration. This is the citadel model. It’s the more sporty model on the 2021 Dodge Durango. You can see that just by looking at this,
2021 Dodge Durango Front Design
Front of this 2021 Dodge Durango drawing and especially the citadel model. it’s a very sporty SUV and a mid-size SUV. It competes in that mid-sized non-luxury SUV segment which is pretty crowded. But you know the 2021 Dodge Durango looks a little bit different. it sits looks like it sits a little bit lower to the ground and the beautiful black mash grill with all. And the dodge logo right on the side, and the polished aluminum trim around it.
The hood has got this groove in the middle. And it’s divided into two different parts. Then going down below the same mesh, black mesh grille with the polished aluminum trim. And the front lip spoiler has fog lights. These are fake not the real air intakes and it’s the full led light. It also has that light Signature off, typical of a dodge. So this is the front of it.
2021 Dodge Durango Engine
It has a 5.7 liter v8 that is a Hemi Engine. And that engine’s been known from so many different Chrysler Dodge models. And there is a big Hemi logo on the side of it. So, what is 360 horsepower? It’s a 5.7 liter v8 made it to an eight-speed automatic transmission that does have a towing capacity of 6200 pounds. Which are more than most of the vehicles in its class. However, one thing that is noticed, it also has the worst gas mileage 14 in the city 22 on the highway. Hopefully, it’s called a performance to match and justify that gas mileage.

2021 Dodge Durango Side Look
On the side, this 2021 Dodge Durango looks pretty classy. It’s mean it’s simple it’s elegant and sporty. This vehicle has been around for a while. So I’m sure you’ve seen them on the road. Still,, who also forgot it because when you think of Chrysler or Dodge. You think of the Suzuki Vitara, you think of the jeep and the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and this has been kind of under the radar.
It sits slightly lower to the ground these 20-inch rims are for in this model. They’re polished with aluminum kinds of matches. The rest of the trim pieces on this vehicle which is the mirror caps. And they’re that polished aluminum as well as the citadel logo and at the bottom trim and the door handles that’s the side of it.
2021 Dodge Durango Backside Look
One thing we see in the back is definitely the lights that are unmistakable, they’re only on this car and they’re so typical for dodge. There are a lot of other dodge models that have those lights that go across the entire trunk or the back gate area. The 2021 Dodge Durango is only one of them that has fully LED nicely incorporated in the back gate.
It’s got the dodge logo, the citadel Logo on the left side, and Durango on another side. This is the four-wheel drive as well it has the brake light that is right in the top gate and this is the power gate. And there’s a trailer package that’s underneath and it does have two exhaust tips on both sides.
Like I mentioned above, this is a six-seater configuration which means that it has two seats in the back, two seats in the middle, and two seats in the front.

2021 Dodge Durango seating
The seats are pushing forward. There are no power options in this particular one as far as the seats. And the way you pull them back up that sits it’s fairly easy it’s not complicated at all. It’s a six-seater configuration, one seat in the back, it’s got those three rows and two seats in the front, two seats in the middle, two seats in the back. And there’s a little storage compartment behind the 3rd-row seats, and that is the right place. And then behind there is where the tools for the spare tire are hidden. There are also some vents for the third-row seat and the cup holders on the side.
One thing that’s a different placement on this 2021 Dodge Durango. If you want to close the gate, there is a button inside the door and it’s not on the gate. The question is why they did it so? Because the people that are not tall enough can close it. it’s a weird setup.
2021 Dodge Durango Interior
It’s a roomy, pretty nice, pretty plain interior like this particular car it’s all black. There are only a few pieces that are not black on this car. Such a coming inlet’s how it looks. So as far as the seating configuration, it’s got the two captain chairs. It has a console right in the middle and events for the air conditioning and heat and the 150-watt outlet for the regular plug and the two USB ports and the heated seat control. The backs of the seats have flexibleness in the back. And the seats are very nicely appointed with leather. It’s all black if you take a look at the entire vehicle the only thing that’s not black, that’s the door handle. Everything else it’s a black trim.
How do you get in the third-row seats?
You can lower the handle under the seat and lift it Up. The third-row seat looks like it’s pretty roomy for two people. And that’s again one of the emergency types of seats. They’re not very functional when you sit up higher. They don’t have much headroom and definitely, if another person was sitting in here will be rubbing shoulders. So they’re for the kids. but it’s not the biggest, and it’s class.
One of the other things that the vent control is still the fan speed temperature settings and the vent settings and regular reading lights.
Luxurious Doors & Seats
The door nicely a point the leather-wrapped and it’s got the black trim. it does have the window mirror controls memory seat settings. It has pretty plain and simple light controls and dimmer controls. and stock this is for windshield wipers as well as for rear window wiper. The seats have the dodge logo on them and they are very nicely wrapped with leather. The leather is a little bit different than the ramps or the wranglers. This is a softer type of leather, more luxurious than the other ones.
