If you’re planning to go with a Maybach model of the class S, then you might prefer to opt for the S680 with the powerful engine V-12.

 The standard features are abundant and include luxurious features like soft-close doors, an air suspension system, a 30-speaker Burmester stereo system, an entertainment system for the rear seats with two 11.6-inch touchscreens, and many more.

Engine and Performance

The engine that powers each S580 car is a 496-hp twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine supplemented with a hybrid system of 48 volts. The S680 is the option of a 621-hp 6.0-liter V-12.

All models will feature Mercedes’s 4Matic all-wheel drive. It produces 33 % more power than the previous S560 introduced in 2020. according to our test drive, it has quite a punch.

The power output of the V-12 is identical to the S650 model from 2020 and does not equip with the 48-volt hybrid system. 

We’ve not had the chance to test the performance of either model; however, when we do, we’ll update this article with test and driving impressions and results.

 Air suspension and an active noise cancellation system are available in the latest model, which helps the car to provide a smooth super-quiet ride. S-class also has rear-wheel steering, which will make it easier to navigate the car’s narrow city streets.

Fuel Economy

It estimates that EPA declares that the S580 offers fuel efficiency of 16 mpg when in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. The figures for fuel efficiency for the S680 aren’t yet available.

The Maybach S-class comes with an extra 7 inches of wheelbase over the massive S-class sedan.
