There are three options when you choose BMW X2. The sDrive28i and xDrive28i base models are the M35i. They have the most horsepower. All options are available with an all-wheel or front-wheel drive and 8-speed manual transmission.
A 4-cylinder turbocharged engine of 228 horses is found under the standard BMW X2 trims. It is our favorite trim. The 2022 BMW X2 M35i comes with a turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 302 horsepower. It’s more expensive, but the responsiveness and speed make it well worth it.
All X2 trims have a powerful engine that can make any ride enjoyable. It’s even more enjoyable because of its agile and snappy nature.
The 2022 BMW X2 is a very stiff vehicle.
It isn’t a large S.U.V. or sedan-like car. The X2 cannot handle rough terrain or off-road adventures. We are willing to compromise, even for the outstanding performance and handling.
The Exterior of The 2022 BMW X2
The X1 and X2 are both compact-SUVs and look very similar. However, there are some significant differences.
The 2022 BMW X2 looks more like a hot hatch in performance and styling. It has a sloping roof and a slightly smoother, rounded design. X2 isn’t much different from the previous year.
The X2 did not need any flashy changes. The S.A.C.’s sporty, sleek exterior was a big draw. You can also choose from many colors to make the car more attractive and add many accessories. However, you will need a large budget. The BMW X2 is not cheap, mainly if one gets carried away with the build-up.
The 2022 BMW X2 with a comfortable and stylish interior
Although the interior of the 2022 BMW X2 may not be as attractive as the exterior, the bright outline makes it less annoying.
The cabin’s quality materials are what we love. The 2022 BMW X2 offers a comfortable ride with an excellent driving position, high-quality leather, and helpful tech features.
Except for the Android Auto compatibility and the excellent cargo space, you would expect from an SUV-style hatchback that emphasizes performance and fun over comfort.
The 2022 BMW X2 has all the standard safety features. It also includes an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with navigation, Apple CarPlay connectivity, a seven-speaker stereo system, and many other features.
You can also add advanced features to the car during the build-up.
Storage
Despite being compromised by its design, the X2 still manages to be practical thanks to its good cargo opening and foldable rear seats. It has 21.6 cubic feet less storage than the X1, but the 40/20/40-split back seat is still available for added convenience.
The interior storage space is limited and clumsy due to the hard plastic cubbies and bins. Thanks to hinged plastic covers, car seat anchors can access easily.
The Fuel Economy of X2
The all-wheel-drive X2 will return 27 mpg combined (24-city/31-highway), which is as efficient as its rivals. During our tests, however, we did not achieve the E.P.A. rating. Over nearly 750 miles, we averaged 21.5 mpg, and our highest tank was 22.7 mpg.
Value
The X2 is not for everyone. It can be a bit pricey if you add more desirable options. Although it is still comparable to other more style-oriented models, it is more expensive than the more practical and similar BMW X1. However, we did notice more hard plastics in the interior than we would like, and there were a few rattles.
The X2’s warranty is typical for small luxury S.U.V.s. BMW also offers two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance.

The G.L.A., like the X2, is a swoopy S.U.V. that the G.L.B. G.L.A. inspired is a great entry point to Mercedes and offers a smooth ride, comfortable seating, and one of the best infotainment systems. We are less impressed by the G.L.A.’s high road noise and an extensive list of options.
BMW X2 vs. Audi Q3
The Audi Q3 is more comfortable than the X2 and offers a smoother ride. The Q3’s emphasis on comfort doesn’t make driving as enjoyable as the Audi X2. Audi doesn’t offer a performance version that can compete with the X2M35i model. Choosing between the BMW or Audi will depend on what you need from your small luxury S.U.V.
BMW X2 vs. Land Rover Range Rover Evoque
Although the Evoque is the cheapest way to get Range Rover’s brand, it doesn’t come cheap. The Range Rover’s luxury nature can make the Evoque more expensive than the X2. The Evoque is also less enjoyable to drive than the X2 and doesn’t offer as much comfort over long distances.
